What I found interesting though, is the searches using just my first name, LeaAnne. I have known for many years that there is a model/race car driver with my first name. This is why when there is a new opportunity to grab my name on a social media site before it becomes popular, I do... Twitter is case-in-point. I beat her to the name!
I regularly do a vanity search on myself. I try to do one at least once or twice a year to ensure that the things that are showing up on my search show me in a positive light and do not slander my efforts in keeping a good name. On occasion, I will find a post of me responding to something that I don't want on my front search page and I will make every effort to remove my participation. I know it can always be found, but it doesn't have to represent or define me. I went back a few pages on each of my searches and found so many fun things I have participated in or been a part of that make me proud to have chosen the profession I did. I hope this experience is enjoyable for everyone when they do it. Just know that although the way back machine does exist, we still have a way to manipulate the internet to our advantage if we stay on top of our footprint.
